Black Flaxseed Almond Bread in Jars
A dark flour-free bread with flaxseed, sesame, psyllium, chia and almond flour. Baked in straight-sided glass jars for easy slicing.

Ingredients
- 150 gflaxseed
partially ground
- 50 gsesame seeds
- 15 gpsyllium husk
- 20 gchia seeds
- 1 tspsalt
- 400 mlwater
- 150 galmond flour
- 1 tspbaking powder
- 1 tspbaking soda
- 1 tbsplemon juice
Instructions
Grind part of the flaxseed in a coffee grinder
Mix flaxseed, sesame, psyllium and chia with salt
Pour in water and let rest
Add almond flour and baking powder
Stir in baking soda and lemon juice
Line straight-sided jars with parchment and grease with oil
Divide the dough between the jars
Bake at 180 C for 60-

Just made this. A bit dense but the flavor is interesting.
Frankfurt Germany. My husband refused to believe there was no regular flour in this. He checked the ingredients list three times. We now make it every weekend and use it for open sandwiches with smoked fish and cottage cheese. Excellent texture, stays fresh for four days in the fridge.
